The music event “BLUE HANDS TOKYO” will be held on April 14 (Sun.) at MIYASHITA PARK Lawn Plaza in Shibuya, Tokyo, free of charge.
The event will be held under the theme of sexually transmitted diseases by “#shikatanakunai,” a social project that addresses various “shikatanakunai” related to the body and sex, with the aim of deepening understanding of the importance of infection prevention and testing, and providing an opportunity to think about a secure relationship with oneself and one’s partner.
Six artists who support the concept, Akko Gorilla, Lovely Summer Chan, maco marets, ASOUND, Le Makeup, and Aisho Nakajima, will perform live and make statements.
April 14, the date of the event, is “Partner Day” established by Saga City in 1998 as a day to express gratitude regardless of gender or age. In addition to the live performances, various other events will be held as an opportunity to think about a safe and secure relationship with one’s partner. In addition to the live concerts, a variety of events will be held, including a “smaluna check” kit for testing for genital chlamydia and gonorrhea infections by mail, a “statement photo machine” where participants can express their support for the concept by posing in a common pose, and a message board where people can anonymously confide what they want to say to their partners.
