UNIQLO’s “UNIQLO Vintage Clothing Project” pop-up stores will open at the Setagaya Chitosedai store in Tokyo on Friday, March 29 and at the Tenjin store in Fukuoka on Friday, April 12.
This project is part of UNIQLO’s “RE.UNIQLO” initiative, which aims to create a recycling-oriented society. It was first held at the Harajuku store in October 2023 as a new attempt to re-sell recovered clothing.
At the pop-up, UNIQLO sold two types of recovered UNIQLO clothing: vintage clothing that had been dyed to give it a vintage look and feel, and clothing that had been carefully inspected and cleaned. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity, and details of the donation recipients will be announced as soon as they are determined.
