downt Announces Debut Album alongside Streaming Premiere of Lead Single “Whale”

downt’s 1st full album, “Underlight & Aftertime,” is set to be released on March 6th (Wed). The advance single, “Whale,” is also available for streaming starting from February 7th (Wed).

Formed in 2021, downt is a three-piece band consisting of Yui Togashi (Gt/Vo), Takaaki Kawai (Ba), and Tener Ken Robert (Dr). In 2023, the band has sold out all of their three independent live shows. They have also performed at festivals such as “IMAIKE GO NOW” and “YATSUI FESTIVAL!” as well as many performances by overseas artists in Japan, and are scheduled to perform at “SYNCRONICITY ’24” this spring.

The “downtown Release Show” tour to commemorate the release of the new album was announced in January, but at the time of the announcement, no information about the new album had been made public, making this a long-awaited release. The tour will take place on Friday, March 22 at FEVER in Niyoda, Tokyo, Saturday, March 30 at Shinsakae SHANGRI-LA in Nagoya, Aichi, and Sunday, March 31 at Pangea in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
