Japan Premiere of ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ Scheduled for May 10

The Japanese release date of the film ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ has been set for Friday, May 10, the day before the anniversary of Bob Marley’s death, and the Japanese poster has been released.

Bob Marley, who has sold over 75 million albums worldwide and posthumously received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2001 Grammy Awards, along with induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, left behind numerous achievements. In this film, titled “Bob Marley: One Love,” the tumultuous life of the revered “God of Reggae” is portrayed, revealing the struggles hidden behind his genius musical talent.

Directed by Reynaldo Marcus Green, known for works such as ‘King Richard,’ and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, who portrayed Malcolm X in ‘One Night in Miami…,’ the film features notable involvement from Bob Marley’s family. Rita, Ziggy, and Cedella Marley have contributed to the supervision of the movie, adding depth to the narrative and garnering attention.

The Japanese poster was unveiled on Tuesday, February 6, Bob Marley’s birthday. The poster depicts Bob Marley singing with his fists raised in the air in front of a stadium crowd, with the catchphrase “One Love Changed the World. The design is a condensed version of Bob Marley’s life, in which he conveyed his message of love to the world through music and continued to believe that the world could be made a better place through the power of music.

It was also announced that the Mubichiket advance ticket card type that will go on sale on February 23 (Fri.) will be a larger-than-usual live ticket version. The sales will be limited and will end as soon as the tickets are sold out.
