The Japanese trailer and poster visual for the movie ‘Oppenheimer,’ set to be released in Japan on March 29 (Friday), have been unveiled.
The film achieved a record-breaking five wins, including Best Motion Picture, Drama, at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. As the nominations for the 96th Academy Awards were announced in March, ‘Oppenheimer’ secured a remarkable 13 nominations in categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Based on the true story of Robert Oppenheimer, the American physicist who developed the atomic bomb, the film has surpassed $950 million in global box office since its nationwide release in July 2023. It has become the highest-grossing biographical film depicting a real-life individual.
The film is directed/written/produced by Christopher Nolan. The film stars Killian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.
The Japanese version of the trailer is narrated by Ken Watanabe. The trailer includes Oppenheimer’s monologue of anguish and conflict, as well as the line “You gave humanity the power to destroy itself, and it is too soon for this world.
The poster visual features Oppenheimer standing in front of a steel tower erected in the Los Alamos desert with the copy “This man has changed the world.
