Rainbow Disco Club outdoor festival is set to take place at the Higashi Izu Cross Country Course in Shizuoka Prefecture over three days, from Friday, April 19, to Sunday, April 21.
Four Tet is announced as the festival’s headlining act. Known for his solo project, Kieran Hebden collaborates with a diverse range of artists, having performed with the likes of Radiohead, The xx, FRED AGAIN., Skrillex, and Madlib. Making his first appearance in Japan in six years, Four Tet previously participated in Rainbow Disco Club 2018 alongside Floating Points in a B2B set. However, this time, he will present a solo DJ set. Stay tuned for more artist announcements on social networking sites as they are revealed.
The festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2024. The festival has traditionally been held during Golden Week, but the schedule has been moved up in order to avoid the crowding of accommodations and tourist attractions and to allow people to have a relaxing time.
Currently, tickets are sold out up to Category 5, where early bird discount is applied, and Category 6 is scheduled to go on sale on Wednesday, January 10 at 6:00 p.m. Discounted tickets are also available for those 23 years old and younger (junior high school students and younger do not need a ticket). In addition to the direct bus tour from Shibuya to the venue, a new direct bus tour from Nagoya to the venue is also available. A free shuttle bus will also be available between the venue and the nearby Izu Inatori Station.
