Yuta Orisaka Drops First New Song in Two Years

The theme song “Hitohito” written by Yuta Orisaka for the drama “Tengu no Daidokoro” became available for download on December 6 (Wed.).

The drama, which will reach its final episode on December 7 (Thu.), is based on the manga of the same title that is being serialized in Kodansha’s “Gekkan Afternoon” magazine. “Hito Hito,” Yuta Orisaka’s first new song in two years, is a lighthearted song with lyrics that play with words to describe the drama’s themes of food, daily life, and mysteriousness. A comment from Yuta Orisaka was also released on the occasion of the release.

As I observed my daily rituals and dining moments occupying the heart of the world, this narrative effortlessly infiltrated my consciousness. Like the inexplicable delight found in simple salt, my pursuit was to craft music with a similarly captivating essence.

The drums are played by senoo ricky, the double bass by Azumi Miyata, and the electric guitar by Kota Yamauchi, three of his band members in recent years. Recording, mixing, and mastering were done by Makoto Oshiro, who has worked with Mami Kakudo, NRQ, Yufuko Ikema, Tenniscoats, and others.

The cover art was created by Yuta Orisaka himself, as in the “Akebono (2023)” released in June, and the design was created by Sei Suzuki.
