The final trailer for the film “Kubi,” which opens in theaters nationwide on November 23 (Thursday, national holiday), has been released.
This is the first film directed by Takeshi Kitano since “Outrage: The Final Chapter” in 2017, and was selected for the Cannes Premiere section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival held this year. Kitano himself plays Hashiba Hideyoshi, who plots the “Honnoji Incident,” with Nishijima Hidetoshi as Akechi Mitsuhide and Kase Ryo as Oda Nobunaga, and the cast also includes Asano Tadanobu, Omori Nao and Nakamura Shidou, who joins the Kitano group for the first time. Conceived at the same time as “Sonatine,” one of his early masterpieces, the film was finally completed after 30 years.
The final trailer released this time starts with Hideyoshi Hashiba, played by Beat Takeshi, shouting “Hurry up and die! The final trailer is a violent film, typical of Kitano’s work, which depicts the men who are being bled to death one after another, accompanied by the magnificent “majestic” music of “Doufudo”. The film depicts the bare nature of the madmen who move in accordance with their own desires, aiming for the “head.

Nobunaga, frustrated at not knowing Murashige’s whereabouts, begins to cast suspicion in an unexpected direction. However, it all turns out to be a set-up. Who is really behind all this?
