Cody Lee has announced the release of a new song, “Boys Don’t Cry. The song was written as the ending theme for the TBS drama stream “Love Practice,” which will begin airing on November 21 (Tuesday) at midnight and will be released for distribution in time for the start of the broadcast.
Cody Lee is a four-piece rock band formed in 2018, launched their own label, “Sakuramachi Records,” in 2020, and made their major label debut in 2022. The band has performed at many domestic festivals, such as “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL” and was introduced as “ROOKIE CLASS OF 2022” by New York-based music label 88rising, and was invited to perform on the main stage of a festival in Taiwan.
Hibiki Takahashi, Vo / Gt, professes to be a fan of the theater company “Kaki-Kukyaku” represented by Houjin Nakayashiki, one of the script writers of the drama. He says he felt “punk” from the script and created the song to fully affirm the main character’s “direct and muddy footsteps in facing love.
