Thank you so much to those who have supported us by donating money in advance and T-shirts. We have a lot of feelings about what we can do and what we cannot do, but we will continue this road trip to next year’s Zenkankaku Festival.
Parking is not available, so cars are not allowed in principle. It takes about 30 minutes from Shibuya station to JR Kawasaki station, and it takes about 10 minutes by cab or 20 minutes by bus from Kawasaki station. A cab from Tokyo will cost about 8,000 yen, so carpooling is recommended.
We are not sure if we will be able to get enough people, if we will be able to meet the budget, and if we will be able to run the event successfully, but we will do everything in our power to make sure we have a good time.
The cost of materials needed for the venue and preparations were last minute, so the cost went up. We did the best we could without overstretching ourselves.
Once you start a festival, you realize that nothing is taken for granted. I realized that nothing is taken for granted, not even the stage, the sound, the trash cans, or the feelings of the performers and backstage staff.
All the performers who agreed to participate in the festival were all artists, and their spirit of running alongside their contemporaries, rather than in sync with them, was inspiring.
11/18 I’m thinking of making an altar with lasers. I talked about OLAibi with many people at frue the other day. I think it is healthy to talk like that at a festival. There may be people who were close and people who were far away, but those who have lived music have melted their pure consciousness into the world, so there are no boundaries between friends and customers, and I want to bring flowers, not for goodbye. I’m sure they would laugh at me.
Rules are rules, but more than that, I imagine a place where imagination and compassion intersect in that place and in that moment.
In the year 2023, as we head towards the end, what we have left to do, Road Trip To Zenkankakusai, please give us your best regards.
