The Studio Ghibli tribute album “Singing Ghibli,” which will be released on CD and in distribution on Wednesday, November 1, will be released as an analog record on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. In addition, a concert will be held, and an application form will be included with the CD.
The album was produced by Satoshi Takebe, who has close ties to Studio Ghibli, and features songs by Ieiri Reo, Ikuta Rira, Shigeru Kishida (Kururi), Kaela Kimura, GReeeeN, Ryuta Shibuya (SUPER BEAVER), Hayato Kadono, Shiori Tamai (Momoiro Clover Z), Kohei Matsushita, Hikari Mitsushima, Little Glee Monster, and Wakana. The record will be released on two heavy-duty discs.
The concert will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at the Tokyo International Forum. The artists participating in the album will come together to recreate the world of Studio Ghibli’s works and music as a live performance in a rare one-night-only concert.
In addition, the CD will include an application serial for the “two special purchaser-only offers”. The application serials can be used to apply for the fastest priority reservation for the concert to be held in March and to apply for an original acrylic stand with a jacket illustration drawn by Goro Miyazaki.
