Ticket information for the Tokyo venue of “Ghibli Park and the Ghibli Exhibition,” which will be held from June 28 (Friday), has been released and will go on sale from April 26 (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. on a date and time reserved system.
The “Ghibli Park and Ghibli Exhibition” will introduce the behind-the-scenes story of the creation of “Ghibli Park” in Aichi Prefecture, a park that represents the world of Studio Ghibli’s works, along with rare production materials and prototypes. The exhibition also looks back at the work of director Goro Miyazaki, who directed the production of Ghibli Park, the Mitakanomori Ghibli Museum, and the House of Satsuki and May, and also created such animated films as “Gedo Senki,” “From Up on Poppy Hill,” and “Arya and the Witch.
The three-dimensional exhibit recreates a famous scene from the film “Spirited Away” in which the main character, Chihiro, sits next to Kaonashi. Visitors can sit next to Kaonashi and feel as if they were Spiriro. In addition, Yubaba, who is absorbed in her work, and the cat bus familiar from the movie “My Neighbor Totoro” will also appear.
Tickets are available at Nittele Zero Ticket, Lawson Ticket, and Boo-Woo Ticket. There are also tickets with a privilege to eat “Showa-scented Neapolitan” or “Showa-scented La-meen” at the “Showa Shokudo-bune”, which is a water facility adjacent to the venue that is made to look like a Showa-era restaurant on a boat, and tickets linked to hotel accommodation plans.
The “Ghibli Park and Ghibli Exhibition,” which is touring the country, will begin in Nagano in July 2022. So far, the exhibition has been held in Aichi, Kumamoto, Hyogo, Yamaguchi, and Kochi, and is currently being held at the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art in Nagaoka, Niigata until Sunday, June 9.
