The music video for “Incendio” from Arka’s “KiCK iii” album has been released.
The music video, which uses a system developed by Daito Manabe of the creative team Rhizomatiks to convert music into electrical signals, was premiered at “Mutant;Destrudo,” a four-night performance series held at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The video captures Arca’s performance on stage. An explanation by Manabe is also available.
The myoelectric sensors attached to Arka’s face allow us to use technology to control and change her facial expressions in complex and sometimes violent ways.
