The film “The Saint Of The Impossible” will be released in theaters nationwide on January 12, 2024 (Friday) at Shinjuku Cinemakarite and others. A poster visual has also been released.
The film is the feature debut of director Marc Wilkins, who won 42 awards worldwide for his short film “Bon Voyage” and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Film at the 89th Academy Awards. Based on the novel “De heilige Antonio” by Dutch author Arnon Grunberg, whose mother is a concentration camp survivor from Auschwitz and who grew up in a Jewish immigrant family. The film depicts the immigration issues facing America and the bond between parents and children through a family living as illegal immigrants in New York City.
The film is also notable as the film debut of twin brothers Adriano Duran and Marcello Duran, who were selected by audition in Peru, South America, and are also active in the rock band LOS MORDOS.

[Story]
Dreaming of a stable life, the Duran family abandoned their native Peru to live as illegal immigrants in New York City. The mother, Rafaela, raises her two sons by herself as a waitress, while her sons work as deliverymen to make ends meet. One day, the two sons, who fear that they are invisible, meet and fall in love with Christine, a beautiful woman with a mysterious secret. Meanwhile, their mother, Rafaela, is lured by a white man’s titillating story and opens a restaurant.
