The program of “TOKYO JAZZ 2023 NEO-SYMPHONIC JAZZ at GEIGEKI – Mirage Future -” to be held on August 25 (Fri.) at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space Concert Hall has been announced.
The event will be produced by jazz composer and conductor Miho Hasama, performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and will feature guest performances by Bigyuki, Awich, and Patrick Bartley.
The program announced this time includes a total of nine pieces. The program includes Steve Reich’s “Eight Lines,” Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “0322_C#_minor,” Kamasi Washington’s “The Space Travelers Lullaby” by Kamasi Washington, “Minuano” by Pat Metheny, and “John Connor” by BigYuki, “LTWRK 2023,” “TSUBASA feat. Awich,” and Robert Glasper’s “Let It Ride.” Awich’s “Queendom.
