The Super Mario Bros. Movie‘s soundtrack CD and LP will be released this summer.
This is the original soundtrack for the movie “The Super Mario Brothers Movie,” which was released in Japan in April. The music in the movie was produced by Brian Tyler, who has worked on music for the “Fast & Furious” series and other films, and the orchestral music was created through communication with Koji Kondo, who created the original theme music for the Super Mario series.
The domestic CD and LP will come with commentary by game writer and former Weekly Famitsu editor Rolling Uchisawa, liner notes with lyrics and bilingual translation, and an obi. The import version will be available in limited edition LP, standard edition LP, CD, cassette tape, and 7-inch vinyl, and is scheduled to ship to Japan at the end of August.
The domestic edition of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie Soundtrack” CD will be released on Wednesday, August 9, and the LP on Wednesday, September 13. The domestic version is available for pre-order on the iam8bit Japan website and at CD stores nationwide, while the import version is available for pre-order on the iam8bit Japan website.
