Zepp Hall Network, Inc. announced that it will install its “Automatic Live Filming and Distribution System” at Zepp Haneda (TOKYO) and KT Zepp Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, and begin full-scale operations in fiscal 2023. Preparations are also underway for the launch of operations at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO), which will open in April 2023.
The “Automatic Live Filming and Distribution System” was jointly developed by Sony Group Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment Inc. The system uses in-field sensors to detect the location of “compact tags” worn by live performers, and based on the captured location information, unmanned cameras automatically pan, tilt, and zoom to capture the subject of the live performance. The director controls each camera with a controller to create the optimum angle of view, and a switcher selects images from that angle, enabling two-man operation.
Zepp Haneda (TOKYO) and KT Zepp Yokohama are equipped with highly reliable hardware encoders for smooth video distribution.
