Gen Hoshino has unveiled plans for his upcoming ‘Gen Hoshino presents MAD HOPE Asia Tour,’ which is set to take him across three major cities in Asia later this year. The tour will kick off on August 30, 2025, in Taipei at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). Following that, Hoshino will visit Shanghai and Seoul, marking his first-ever concert in South Korea, which will take place on September 13, 2025, at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park.
This tour marks Hoshino’s return to Taipei and Shanghai for the second time, following his 2019 ‘POP VIRUS World Tour.’ Fans in Shanghai can expect further details regarding the performance in the coming weeks.
The tour is set to coincide with the release of Hoshino’s long-awaited new album, Gen, due out on May 14, 2025. The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Louis Cole, Cordae, and South Korean rapper Lee Youngji. With its cross-border influences, Gen is expected to bring a unique international flavor to Hoshino’s live performances during the Asia tour.
Following the album’s release, Hoshino will also embark on a nationwide tour, Gen Hoshino presents MAD HOPE, starting on May 15, 2025. While the initially announced tour dates have already sold out, additional performances are now confirmed for September 21, 2025, at Kyocera Dome Osaka, and October 18-19, 2025, at K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa. Ticket sales for these new shows will be announced in the near future.
