Texas 3000, the alternative rock band formed by Jojo (Vocals/Guitar), Sakiyama (Drums), and Kirin (Bass), has revealed plans to hold their own independent event, WEIRD DREAMS, in Tokyo and Osaka. This follows the release of their debut album tx3k, which arrived in November 2023 after three years of development between 2019 and 2022. The album, with its 11 tracks, captures the band’s identity, offering a non-fictional and deeply introspective view of their journey, incorporating themes of “contradiction” and “disorder.”
To further promote their music, the band has also shared a live video for their track “Connector Fuck Man.” The video gained additional recognition when the song was selected by British artist beabadoobee in her gnochi5000bea playlist, unveiled in November 2024. The playlist includes “Connector Fuck Man” as well as the track “Tomorrow’s King,” bringing the band’s music into a wider global spotlight.
As the band gears up for WEIRD DREAMS, fans in Tokyo and Osaka can expect an exciting, personal experience as they continue to explore their unique musical voice.
Texas 3000 will host their independent events on January 18 (Saturday) at FORESTLIMIT in Hatagaya, Tokyo, for WEIRD DREAMS #5, and on January 23 (Thursday) at Namba BEARS in Osaka for WEIRD DREAMS #6. The Tokyo edition will feature performances by BISING, lows0n, and PAPURIKAN, while the Osaka edition will include performances by Tengoku Chusha, Zou no Se, and Yahhoo.
