Ichiko Aoba released single “Luciférine” for streaming on Wednesday, November 13.
This track is a pre-release from her 8th original album Luminescent Creatures, set to drop on Friday, February 28, 2025. A message from Aoba about the track has also been shared.
When we exist as living beings, I can’t shake the feeling that our primal landscape is filled with sights like a vast starry sky or the bioluminescent depths of the ocean.
Ichiko Aoba
The album features composer Taro Umebayashi as a co-creator, with recording and mixing handled by Toshihiko Kasai, mastering by Seigen Ono (Saidera Mastering), and art direction and cover photography by Kota Kobayashi. The album will be released simultaneously in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. In North America, it will be released by the artist-led independent label “Psychic Hotline,” while in other regions, it will come out under Aoba’s own label, “hermine.”
Additionally, details of the upcoming Luminescent Creatures World Tour have been announced. This will be Ichiko Aoba’s largest overseas tour to date, spanning Asia from February to March 2025, Europe from March to April, and North America from April to May.
