Machiko Kyo’s book “From Tokyo My #stayhome Diary 2022-2023” will be published in May.
The #stayhome diary series has been posted on SNS since the declaration of the state of emergency in April 2020. As a record of the year of the Corona disaster, “Distance My #stayhome Diary” in 2021 and “Essential My #stayhome Diary 2021-2022” in 2022 have been published. “From Tokyo: My #stayhome diary 2022-2023” will be released in May. “From Tokyo: My #stayhome diary 2022-2023″will be the final volume in this series.
In conjunction with the conclusion of the series, the “Machiko Kyo: My #stayhome Diary 2020-2023” exhibition will be held at the Machida Literature Museum Kotobarando in Tokyo from April 22. <In addition to the #stayhome diary series, the exhibition will also feature original drawings from her debut works “Sen-nen Gaho” and “Hyakunin Isshu Notebook,” as well as notebooks for her creative works.

This project, which continued with “DIstance” and “Essential,” has now reached its conclusion with “From Tokyo. Although the corona has not completely converged, I feel that the purpose of the work has been fulfilled in the sense that everyday life has returned.
The exhibition at the Machida Literature Museum Kotobarando will be the largest exhibition we have held to date. Not only the “My #stayhome diary” series, but also a group of works that show the progression of my creative process to date will be on display. Admission is free, so we hope you will drop by!
