The TV anime ‘Zenshu’ is scheduled to air in January 2025, with a second teaser PV now available.
Produced by MAPPA, the studio known for popular series like “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Chainsaw Man,” this original anime takes place in the world of anime production. It follows Hirose Natsuko, an animator whose talent rapidly flourishes after her debut film achieves massive success and cultural significance. As she embarks on her next project—a romantic comedy centered on first love—she struggles to create the storyboard because she has never fallen in love. The title “Zenshu” is an industry term meaning “to correct everything” or “all retakes,” which becomes one of the protagonist’s notable quotes.
The newly released second teaser PV presents a trailer for the in-universe film “The Tale of Destruction,” featuring Luke (voiced by Ruki Urawa), a hero from the land of light, along with Uniho (voiced by Rie Kugimiya), Memerun (voiced by Minori Suzuki), and QJ (voiced by Akio Tsuchiyama) as they battle in a post-apocalyptic world. Although this is a trailer for the fictional film, viewers have expressed their surprise on social media and in the comments, noting the contrast between the in-story content and the romantic comedy theme hinted at in the first teaser PV and synopsis. This has sparked considerable anticipation for future developments.
