The participatory music concert “Arv100” will take place on November 3 (Sunday, holiday) at the Arakawa Lock Gate in Edogawa, Tokyo.
Conducted and conceptualized by ∈Y∋ of BOREDOMS, this event celebrates the 100th anniversary of water flow in the Arakawa Waterway. BOREDOMS first showcased their large-scale drumming performance, “BOADRUM,” in 2007 in New York, featuring 77 drummers. In 2018, at the Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival, ∈Y∋ conducted a performance with 88 cymbals.

At “Arv100,” a large-scale performance will be staged, featuring 200 cymbal players, known as “Shinbar,” consisting of fourth-grade elementary school students to high school students from the Arakawa River basin, as well as musicians from across the country. Due to the high number of applications, new submissions for general participation have been suspended.
Additionally, the event is currently conducting crowdfunding on “Ubugoe” until November 6 (Wednesday). Early purchase benefits are available until October 25 (Friday), and new rewards are expected to be added in the future.
