Yanushi will release their first video work, May the DOOM be with you -YANUSHI LIVE TOUR 2024 at LIQUIDROOM-, on Wednesday, December 18.
Formed in 2013 by main songwriter Yakob Tanaka, Yanushi is a four-member rock band with three songwriters/vocalists. They released their debut album, Living Foundation, from NEWFOLK in 2019, followed by their second album, DOOM, in 2021. In 2024, they performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and are currently touring with their third album, Freedom Like a Stone, released in December 2023 on the YANUSHI LIVE TOUR 2024.
The upcoming DVD/Blu-ray includes a recording of their solo concert on April 29 (Mon, holiday) at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo, as part of YANUSHI LIVE TOUR 2024. It features the complete main set with MC sections and exclusive live footage as bonus content. This release comes as a two-disc set with a live album (CD) of the main content. Before general release, it will be available early at the tour’s final show on Friday, December 6, at CLUB CITTA’ in Kawasaki, Kanagawa.
Additionally, Yanushi’s lead songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Yakob Tanaka will release his new solo album, Tadayoudake, on Wednesday, November 13. His first two-disc release, this album consists of Side A with guest musicians and Side B, which Tanaka recorded and played entirely himself. Guest artists include Shun Yanashima, Hiroyasu Yoneyama, and Minatomari. The CD version will also feature the bonus track “I Won’t Keep You Waiting,” a collaboration with New York-based musician Ben Sadock. This CD will be available early at the Hyogo leg of his tour on Saturday, November 9, at Harbor Studio in Kobe, Hyogo.
