The pre-release of “Roulette” from Salasa’s second album, “Golden Child,” slated for release on Wednesday, September 4th, has begun.
Salasa, a singer-songwriter from Shonan, Kanagawa, has made significant waves since her debut in 2021. She has performed at major festivals both domestically and internationally, with her band set at Shibuya WWW X in Tokyo at the end of 2023, and her solo show at Shibuya Spotify O-nest in March 2024 both selling out. She also made her second appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’24 this July.
Released on Wednesday, August 21st, “Roulette” was produced by Kota Matsukawa, founder of the w.a.u label, who has previously worked on many of Salasa’s tracks. First unveiled at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’24, the song is enveloped in a mysterious atmosphere while exuding a palpable intensity, creating a track with a rising groove that lingers.
Additionally, the trailer for the second album “Golden Child” has been released on Salasa’s official Instagram and TikTok. The album, produced by a diverse array of talents, including Kota Matsukawa, Shuta Nishida, and uin, offers a glimpse into Salasa’s evolving artistry.
Salasa is also set to embark on her first Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour, the Golden Child Tour 2024, in September. The tour dates are September 4th at ell.FITS ALL in Nagoya, September 5th at Shangri-La in Umeda, Osaka, and September 10th at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo, with all performances featuring a full band setup.
