Ichiko Aoba’s latest single, “Lullaby,” will be released on Thursday, August 8. In addition, her first domestic tour in five years, “ICHIKO AOBA Japan Tour 2024,” is set to kick off in October.
This single is her first release since “meringue doll” about a year ago. “Lullaby” serves as a bridge between her 2020 album Adan no Kaze, which was named Album of the Year by the major music archive Rate Your Music, and her upcoming album Luminescent Creatures, scheduled for release in 2025. Along with the release, a comment from Ichiko Aoba has been announced.
A lullaby for all the small creatures welcoming the night.
An old music box left on an empty beach. When you add star sand and turn the handle, a melody starts to play. This is the scene I envisioned.
I’m sharing this cherished song, which I’ve been nurturing for years, with you now at this moment, hoping that it reaches you with my heartfelt wishes.
— Ichiko Aoba
The “ICHIKO AOBA Japan Tour 2024” will precede her planned world tour starting in February 2025, covering seven cities across Japan. This marks her first domestic tour in about five years since the “ichiko aoba qp tour 2018-2019.”
Tickets for the “ICHIKO AOBA Japan Tour 2024” are currently available for pre-sale until August 18 (Sunday). Secondary pre-sale for tickets to the “ICHIKO AOBA ‘Luminescent Creatures’ World Premiere” concerts, taking place on October 19 (Saturday) in Osaka and October 26 (Saturday) in Tokyo, has also begun.
