The 50 Kaitenz Announces Release of 7-Inch Record Featuring New Songs Recorded Live on Stage
Formed in Osaka in 2004 by Danny (Guitar/Vocals) from Tokushima, Dory (Bass/Vocals) from Izumo, and Bogey (Drums/Vocals) from Naniwa, The 50 Kaitenz has been influenced by bands ranging from rock ‘n’ roll and punk to surf and garage. Known for their mushroom haircuts inspired by the Ramones and their highly entertaining performances, they debuted with the album “Gya!!” in 2006. They have also garnered acclaim overseas, hosting European tours consecutively in 2023 and 2024.
Their latest tour announcement includes 27 performances across 26 cities, culminating in a final show at BIGCAT in their hometown of Osaka’s Shinsaibashi on December 22nd (Sunday). Each show is titled with a subtitle linked to the local area.
The 7-inch record to be sold at tour venues features “NO FUTUREじゃいられない,” a rock ‘n’ roll love letter dedicated to adults who can’t grow up, on Side A, and “SPACE ROCK,” the band’s first-ever collaborative lyrical and musical composition by all members, on Side B. The recordings were done using vintage equipment brought into the studio, with recording and mixing handled solely by the band members.
Early bird tickets for the tour, which come with a special 20th anniversary commemorative sticker, are available until Wednesday, July 17th.
