Atarashii Gekijo Project “Parade” will be performed at Kyonan Fureai Hiroba Park in Musashino, Tokyo, on July 13 (Sat) and 14 (Sun).
Kichijoji Theatre’s “Atarashii Gekijo Project” is a theater project to create new values for the theater, and “Hamlet House” was performed at Kichijoji Theatre in February 2024 as the first project of this project.
The second production, “Parade,” will be written and directed by Kichijoji Theatre employee Rikiya Konishi (former leader of the Shiawase Gakkyu Hokai), and is a 20-minute outdoor play about a “man waiting for the parade” based on the concept of “plaza x absurdist theater”. The cast includes Satomi Hobo (Compsons), Kayo Masumi (Hate to Cheek), and Arata Murayama (ex-Shiawase Gakkyu Hokai), and Yuzuka Takubo will also participate as a voice actor.
There is no charge and reservations are not required. The event will be held in light rain and cancelled in stormy weather. Whether or not the event will be held will be announced on the day via Kichijoji Theatre’s X (formerly Twitter).
