A full view of “TeamLab Borderless Jeddah,” which opened on Monday, June 10, in the Historic Centre of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has been unveiled.
The museum is a joint project between Team Lab and the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is permanently installed on the banks of the Al Bine Lagoon overlooking the Historic Centre of Jeddah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. It aims to preserve the area as a vibrant cultural center reflecting the kingdom’s diverse history.
The “Borderless World” where visitors can freely explore and create/discover new worlds with their own bodies, the “Light Sculpture” where they are swallowed up by giant light sculptures, the “Forest of Movement” where visitors can exercise their spatial awareness in complex, three-dimensional places, the “Learning! Future Amusement Park”; “Forest of Lamps,” a continuous light work with countless lamps; “EN TEA HOUSE – Genkatei,” where visitors can make a cup of tea and have it bloom and disappear when they finish it; “Sketch Factory,” where visitors can take home a fish they have drawn as a product; and “Sketch Factory,” where visitors can create their own sketches of a fish. Sketch Factory,” where visitors can draw fish to take home as products, and more than 80 artworks are exhibited in seven areas.
