The play “Rasubosu Maeni Mou Ippai” by Sarubakuchi will be performed from June 21 (Fri.) to 30 (Sun.) at Studio Kudo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Sarugakuchi was founded by a university drama club and held its inaugural performance in 2019.The show is a situation RPG comedy about three adventurers who aim to defeat the Great Demon King, but end up reminiscing about their adventures just before the last boss.
The script is by Ryosuke Aonuma (Gekisou Karamawari Ecchan) and the direction is by Tsuru Murakami (Sarubakuchi). In addition to Murakami, the cast includes Ryo Kawamura and Mitsuki Itaba of Saruhakuju.
On June 26 (Wed.), a one-day performance by Sarubakuchi will be staged. It will be a collection of works performed by each member of Sarubakuchi. Mitsuki Itaba will perform “Mouichido Otayoei” a reading for which he will write the script, Ryo Kawamura will perform the rakugo story “Tegami Muhitsu” and Tsuru Murakami will perform a one-man play “Daihito,” based on Itaba’s script.

This is the 2nd project for the 5th anniversary of Sarubakuchi.
I saw Gekisou Karamawari Ecchan for the first time shortly after we launched Sarubakuchi. It was really wonderful and moving, and I have always admired it. This time, the script was written by Ryosuke Aonuma, the leader of the troupe that holds such fond memories for me. He wrote the script for a three-man show. I am very moved. Thank you very much.
It is the first time for Sarubakuchi to have a performance period of 10 days, and I am worried about my physical strength and stamina,
But we will make it through this adventure with our party of three, or rather, with our powerful friends, the staff!
