“KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa 2024,” a hotel-style art fair, will be held at the Hyatt Centric Kanazawa in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, from November 29 (Fri.) to December 1 (Sun.).
“KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa” started in 2017 and will be held for the eighth time in 2024. The event aims to transmit new values and aesthetics of crafts from Kanazawa to the world as “KOGEI,” and to bring people into contact with diverse values and experience new encounters and joys.
In 2023, 40 galleries from Japan, Taiwan, and Korea will participate in the exhibition and sale of works by approximately 200 artists. The exhibition format, in which a hotel floor is rented out and one gallery is exhibited in one guest room, is also characterized by the fact that visitors can encounter works with a different world view in each room.
Exhibiting galleries are currently being recruited, and open call for entries will be accepted until 6:00 p.m. on June 13 (Thu.). Details of events during the period will be announced shortly.
