KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa 2023″ will be held at the Hyatt Centric Kanazawa in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, from December 1 (Fri) to December 3 (Sun).
The event is Japan’s only art fair specializing in kogei (crafts), and has been held in Kanazawa since 2017. 40 galleries, the largest number ever, from Japan and abroad will participate in the seventh edition, with 209 artists, ranging from up-and-coming young artists to internationally active artists. The exhibition will be held in a hotel room, allowing visitors to take a closer look at the works in a space closer to their daily lives.
During the exhibition period, 16 special programs will be held, including visits to artists’ studios and talk events in which various guests will talk about “KOGEI today. This will be the first time that a premium tea party will be held using tea utensils and vessels produced by the National Kogei Museum in collaboration with working artists.
