A new trailer and scene photos have been released for the film “Mr. Nelson On The North Side”, which will be released in Japan on Friday, June 7.
The film is a documentary about Prince, an American musician who was born on June 7, 1958, and died suddenly at the age of 57 on April 21, 2016. He was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2004. He is so highly regarded by musicians that Paul McCartney calls him “a creative giant” and Eric Clapton “one of the best guitarists in the world”.
The film is based on interviews with his mentors, family members, and musicians who admired Prince, as well as footage of Prince himself, and unravels the story of the “lone genius” from his childhood, his youth in the midst of the civil rights movement in an environment where 99% of the residents were white, and his artistic activities.
The trailer is a visual retrospective of Prince’s illustrious career, and scene photos include Chaka Khan, Chuck Ⅾ, Billy Gibbons, and others talking about Prince.
