The remix album “Team Tomodachi The Remixes,” curated by Yuki Chiba and a roster of domestic and international artists, was released on Thursday, May 2nd.
Yuki Chiba, who retired as KOHH at the end of 2021, unexpectedly released “Team Tomodachi” as his first solo track in February 2024. The song garnered significant attention, not only domestically but also internationally, with reactions from artists like Chris Brown, Bun B, Duke Deuce, NLE Choppa, and Megan Thee Stallion on social media.
The album “Team Tomodachi The Remixes” includes “Yuki Chiba Original Version,” which is already available and has a music video, “Dirty Kansai Remix” with Osaka-based allies Young Coco and Jin Dogg, “Tokai Remix” with Nagoya-based allies SOCKS, ¥ellow Bucks, MaRI, Tokai Remix” with Osaka ally Young Coco and Jin Dogg, and 10 new remixes in addition to three tracks with Nagoya allies SOCKS, ³³ Bucks, MaRI, and DJ RYOW. JNKMN & PETZ, eyden, King Ghidorah, TAKABO & DADA, SKY-HI, Loota, and Watson from Japan, and Duke Deuce and Bang B from overseas.
The “Team Tomodachi” and street brand BlackEyePatch collaborative items was also announced: 4 types of T-shirts (black/white) and mesh caps had been sold for a 24-hour lottery starting at noon on May 2 (Thu). The lottery sales started on May 2 (Thu.) at noon for 24 hours.
