“KAELA presents GO! GO! KAELAND 2024 -20years anniversary-,” a solo live concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kaela Kimura’s debut, will be held on Saturday, October 26 at Nippon Budokan in Kudanshita, Tokyo.
Kaela Kimura made her debut as a singer with the single “Level42” in June 2004, when she was 19 years old. She has released 11 albums to date, and held commemorative live concerts at Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa in 2014, the 10th anniversary of her debut, and at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall in Tokyo in 2019, the 15th anniversary of her debut.
In conjunction with the announcement of their fourth solo live performance at the Nippon Budokan, their first in about 12 years, a new visual for the 20th anniversary was also released. The visual features Kaela Kimura with an “onion” on her head, as it resembles the symbol of the Nippon Budokan, the “giboshu” (artificial pearl) placed on the roof. A special website commemorating the 20th anniversary has also been opened, and comments from Kaela Kimura are also available.
