NiEW’s Monthly Free Event exPoP!!!!! to Showcase S.A.R., maco marets, Kingo, and La muzzle for March

NiEW’s admission-free music event “exPoP!!!!! Vol. 160” will be held on Friday, March 29 at Spotify O-nest in Shibuya, Tokyo.

This year’s event will feature four groups: S.A.R., maco marets, Kingo, and La muzzle.

S.A.R. is an alternative crew consisting of seven members: santa, Attie, Imu Sam, Eno, may_chang, Taro, and Yuki fukaya. While based on soul, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, etc., they have a wide range of musical styles that reflect the roots of each member, and they produce not only music but also videos, artwork, and all other productions by themselves.

maco marets is a rapper/lyricist born in Fukuoka and currently based in Tokyo, who released his 7th album “Unready” in 2023. In recent years, he has been featured in the theme song for E-television’s “Z’s Choice” program, collaborated with various artists such as Sakura Fujiwara, Moka Satou, Maika Loubté, Mashimomi, Shin Sakiura, and LITE, as well as writing for media outlets.

Kingo is a rapper who produces bilingual music in English and Japanese and collaborates with international artists on a global scale. He released his first EP “Bandages” in December 2023.

La muzzle is a neo-psychedelic soul band with a guitar synthesizer psychedelic sound and soulful vocals. They are also actively engaged in experimental activities such as live performances utilizing voice synthesized AI and collage art production. The band’s performance was selected through an audition for “exPoP!!!!!” held on the music platform “Eggs. The performance audition was held on the music platform “Eggs”.
