The release date of Fujii Kaze’s new song “Mitsutteyuku” has been set for March 15 (Friday), and the cover jacket has been revealed.
The song will be the theme song for the movie ‘Shigatsu ni nareba kanojoha’ directed by Tomokazu Yamada, which will be released on March 22 (Friday). The music video directed by Yamada will be released on March 15 (Fri.), the same day as the release date. A comment from Fujii about the song has also been released.
I received a story about adding music to a love story depicting the absence of love, and with this opportunity, I was eager to try writing my first-ever love song. However, what I ended up with was simply an extension of what I had been expressing all along. It’s the realization that everything that has a beginning also has an end. Love is not something to seek, but something we already have plenty of. The more you give, the more it “fills up.

tiny desk concerts JAPAN
NHK will produce and broadcast a Japanese version of “tiny desk concerts,” a music content program that has been developed by NPR (National Public Radio), an American public broadcasting station, and has caused a worldwide boom. The music platform titled “tiny desk concerts” was launched by NPR on the Internet in 2008. Artists literally performed at “tiny desks” in NPR offices, and the organic sound and intimate live atmosphere created by the innovative concept quickly made it a popular content in the United States. And after the pandemic, the popularity has spread around the world, and now its lineup encompasses many of the world’s biggest names, including Taylor Swift and BTS, and has become a coveted platform for Japanese artists as well.
In the spring of 2024, NHK will license the platform from NPR and produce “tiny desk concerts JAPAN” with Japanese artists. The program will be broadcast to Japan on general TV and to the entire world on NHK’s international broadcast “NHK World JAPAN”.
