Ningen no Joken’s stage play “In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom” will be performed from Thursday, March 28 to Sunday, March 31 at Theater Babylon no Nagare no Hotori nite in Oji Kamiya, Tokyo.
Ningen no Joken is a theater group founded in 2019 by ZR, a student at the University of Tokyo. With the concept of “what humans cannot live without,” the group is said to depict concise and earnest dramas with dynamic bodies.
The performance is a reinterpretation of Ango Sakaguchi’s “In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom” from the perspective of “loneliness” and “care. Adapted and directed by ZR, the cast includes Takashi Kuroki, Kei Tarumi, Kaeri Noda (above, Ningen no Joken), Nayu Akagi (Gekidan Kodama),Ryu Karin, and Koki Yatsu (THE FINAL POP SATAR(s)).
