TUNICA Magazine’s art exhibition/pop-up event “RELOADED” will be held at DOMICILE TOKYO gallery space in Harajuku, Tokyo, on March 9 (Sat) and 10 (Sun).
TUNICA Magazine is an international culture magazine founded in June 2012 based in New York, with offices in Los Angeles, Barcelona, and Paris. The magazine curates contributors representing a wide range of artistic fields, fusing disciplines and sharing new ideas and styles.
The exhibition will feature 14 A1 and A2 sized artworks by artists curated by the magazine, including “issue No. 8,” the latest issue released in 2023. Original merchandise and back issues of TUNICA Magazine will also be available for purchase.
On March 8th (Friday), an opening reception will be held with DJs 4ngelkidz, sudden star, 0:brei, and Ako, displaying works by participating artists Sargon Khnu, Tea Strazicic, and Miro Tiebe, and the director of “TUNICA Magazine will also be present.
Right now, science fiction is being resurrected. Technology is nothing but an extension of ourselves, surpassing the current physical limits. As we grow, we upload our consciousness to the web. Our identities are already intertwined. Time is distorted by virtual forms. Even if we die, our digital footprints will live on eternally. The physical body gains power through expansion. A new world is imagined, and communication goes beyond objective reality. The truth is, we are already cyborgs. Lies lie on the horizon. Acts of longing for everyday utopia reject existence. The future exists to criticize the present. Someday, this fragile system will collapse and be replaced by something greater
