Shintaro Sakamoto LIVE 2022 @ Cabaret New Hakuba Film Screening” will be held in Tokyo and Osaka.
The screening, which was also held at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo in May 2023, will feature the Kumamoto concert of “Shintaro Sakamoto LIVE 2022 “Like A Fable” Tour” held in 2022. The performance was held at the Cabaret New Hakuba in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, the only existing cabaret in Japan, and was shot by video director Jin Oneda using six 16mm film cameras. Three screens will be set up at the venue for the screening. Soichiro Nakamura recorded and mixed the live soundtrack.
The screening will be held at Universe in Sennichimae, Osaka on April 7 (Sun) and at LIQUIDROOM on April 13 (Sat). Opening DJs will be SHINCO (Schadaraparr) in Tokyo and Kenichi Yasuda and King Joe in Osaka.
The Tokyo event will be an all-night screening, and will be a double feature with a full HD live video of the Tokyo performance on the first day of the tour at Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Auditorium, which will be shown for the first time. The film was shot and edited by video director Yasuyuki Yamaguchi, who has been shooting Shintaro Sakamoto’s music videos for over 20 years, and illuminated by laser lighting artist Yamachan. In contrast to Cabaret New Hakuba, this live video will be a unique live performance at a hall venue.
Official advance orders for tickets will begin at 20:00 on March 1 (Fri.).
