Botansabo’s stage “Kashiwabara Shokan Ten” will be performed at Studio Kudo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, from February 21 (Wed) to 25 (Sun).
Launched in 2013 by lead director Natsume Karasuma, Botansabo was selected for the MITAKA “Next” Selection 18th in 2017 and won the “Sato Sakichi Award 2019” for excellence in playwriting for its 8th performance “Haiyu” in 2020.
The performance is three stories about a single work of art. The story is about a family fascinated by a disastrously beautiful sculpture that transcends generations to witness its completion. The piece is written and directed byNatsume Karasuma. The cast includes Chiko Akanekoza, Emi Futatsumori, and Haruka Ikejima of Botansabo ,and, Eri Aoki, Mako Katabuchi, Daisuke Kunieda, Takayuki Koshiji, Kana Komori (Kogata no kyojin), Kyohei Tsuji (Kawaii Konbini Tenin Iidasan), Yudai Tonomura, Rika Hoshino (Millennium Pro), Yoko Marumoto, Natsuho Maruyama, Yoshiki Yamamoto, and Yutaka Yoshinari.
