Kegawa no Maries’s three albums released during their time with Nippon Columbia will be released on vinyl on April 21 (Sunday).
The upcoming vinyl release will feature three albums: the major debut album “Kegawa no Maries,” which was released in April 2010; the concept album “Tin Pan Alley,” introduced in January 2011 and enriched with string quartet and wind instruments, centered around the theme of “Tokyo”; and the final album “THE END,” crafted at London’s Abbey Road Studios and unveiled in September 2011.
Formed in 2003 with Ryohei Shima at the helm, the band, now active as dresscodes, released their debut album “Let’s Make War” in 2006, followed by three independent album releases. Despite making a major debut under Nippon Columbia in 2010, they decided to disband after the final show of their farewell tour “Who Killed Marie?” held at Nippon Budokan in October 2011. Notably, songs from the Kegawa no Maries era, including “Beautiful,” “Comic Generation,” and “Bonnie and Clyde wa Konya mo Muchu,” continue to be part of DRESS CODES’ live performances.
The three titles to be released this time will be produced in limited 1000 copies each. All artwork is by Mitsuo Shindo, an art director and film director who passed away in 2023.
