‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Open in Theaters in June, First Look Unveiled

The latest installment in the horror film series ‘A Quiet Place: Day One,’ is set to be released simultaneously in Japan and the United States on June 28 (Friday). The teaser trailer and poster visual for the film have recently been unveiled.

The series depicts a world that has collapsed and fallen under the control of enigmatic life forms that emerged suddenly, reacting to “sound” and attacking everything in their vicinity. Set in this post-apocalyptic world, the survival horror revolves around a family striving to protect themselves by adhering to “silence.” The latest installment, ‘A Quiet Place: Day One,’ shifts the stage from the previous rural setting to the bustling metropolis of New York, where the impossibility of remaining completely silent becomes a stark reality. The film portrays the destruction of everyday life in the city on the very first day when the world is forced into silence, capturing the chaos and pandemonium of the urban population.

The trailer shows a peaceful New York City before the collapse of civilization, interspersed with famous scenes from the previous two films. A woman is walking down the boulevard with her cat in her arms, when suddenly, a mysterious object rains down on the crowd with a fireball, and the world collapses in the blink of an eye. At the end of the video, a scene appears in which “something” that terrifies mankind descends from a building and attacks.

The film is directed by Michael Sarnoski, known for “Pig. John Krasinski, who directed the first two films, is participating as a producer. Lupita Nyongo of “Black Panther” and “Still the Night” fame plays the female lead, while Joseph Quinn, who had his breakout role in “Stranger Things,” and Jaimon Hounsou, who also appeared in the previous film “Quiet Place: Broken Silence,” make up the principal cast.
