Lamp is set to join Mitski’s North American tour as a special guest supporting act, taking place from August to September.
Mitski is a Japanese-American singer-songwriter and musician. Her sixth album, “LAUREL HELL,” released in 2022, reached the 5th position on the Billboard 200 chart and the 6th position on the UK Albums Chart. Her latest album, “THE LAND IS INHOSPITABLE AND SO ARE WE,” released in September 2023, also debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2024, Mitski is set to embark on a North American and European tour.
The performances featuring Lamp will take place at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, on August 27 (Tuesday) and 28 (Wednesday), at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, on August 30 (Friday), at the Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 3 (Tuesday), and at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, from September 6 (Friday) to 8 (Sunday). It’s worth noting that this marks Lamp’s debut live performance in the United States.
In October 2023, Lamp released the album “一夜のペーソス,” consisting of 20 tracks and lasting approximately 75 minutes. Songs like “ゆめうつつ” and “二十歳の恋,” originally featured on the 2008 album “ランプ幻想,” gained recognition globally in 2023. These tracks earned spots in Spotify’s “Top 5 Most Streamed Domestic Songs by Release Year Worldwide,” reflecting the international acclaim for Lamp’s previously released music.
