A preview screening event for the film “Remembering Every Night,” set to be released nationwide, starting from March 2nd (Saturday) at Euro Space in Shibuya, will take place on February 17th (Saturday) at Bell Hall in Tama New Town, Tokyo. Additionally, 15 scene photos have been unveiled.
Directed by Seiyo Kiyohara, known for “Our House,” the film premiered at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, followed by screenings at various international film festivals. It made its North American debut in September 2023 before the Japanese release. Tama New Town holds special significance for Kiyohara as it is both her hometown and the filming location for the movie.
The event is organized by the TAMA CINEMA FORUM executive committee as a “TAMA Film Forum Special Screening” in collaboration with the film festival.
In addition to Kiyohara, the post-screening talk will be given by Tsuneko Gorai, president of Moshi Moshi LLC, which operates media in the Tama New Town area, and by Tsuneko Gorai, who is known for such films as “Dad and Mr. Ito” and “PTA Grandpa! and author of the short story collection “New Town Chronicle,” Katsuyuki Namba, a film critic living in Tama City, and Jun Yokomizo, an architect who runs Studio Megane in the same area, will also appear as guests.
The scene photos released to the public show the three main characters standing with impressive expressions on their faces and the streetscape of Tama New Town.
