Kenji Ozawa’s tour “Monochromatique” will be held in May 2024.
The tour dates will be Century Hall (Nagoya Congress Center) in Nagoya, Aichi on May 1 (Wed), Osaka International Convention Center Main Hall (Grand Cube Osaka) in Nakanoshima, Osaka on May 4 (Sat) and 5 (Sun), and NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on May 8 (Wed) and 9 (Thu), for five concerts in three cities.
On stage, the production will be performed without color in the lighting, using only monotone light and shade. Ozawa commented on this production in a text on the special tour page, “I feel that lyrics and performances can be heard more clearly in colors ranging from white to black.
On the tour, the band will perform “Noize,” which was announced on the special website on Tuesday, January 2, an unreleased song “In the Age of Giant Sadness,” and a song “set in Osaka,” which the band had been working on every time they visited Osaka. The concert will also include “Noize,” a previously unreleased song. In addition, the setlist will be a “mix of old and new songs” as 2024 will mark the 30th anniversary of the release of his second album “LIFE”.
In addition, all seats will come with several “secret props” with different designs for each day. On the special page, Ozawa states, “It is great to have props in the audience seats in response to the big props of lighting and sound, making the space bigger.
The official advance reservations (by lottery) for tickets for the performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. on January 5 (Fri.) at l-tike.
