The film “Anatomy of a Fall” (English title) will be released in Japan in February 2024.
The film was released in France and was an instant hit, attracting one million viewers. The film was directed by Justine Trier, who won the Palme d’Or at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, becoming the third director from her family to win the award, following Jane Campion (Piano Lesson) and Julia Ducournaud (Titanium).
The film stars Zandra Hüller, known for “The Promised Universe” and “Thank You, Toni Erdmann. In addition to Justine Trier, the screenplay was written by Artur Allari, who directed “ONODA: Ten Thousand Nights and Beyond.
The film has also been nominated for four awards at the 81st Golden Globe Awards: Best Picture in a Drama, Best Actress in a Drama, Best Screenplay, and Best Foreign Language Film. The awards will be announced on January 8th, 2024 (Monday).
