The full lineup for “flows -An Introduction-,” a music festival to be held at The Garden Hall in Ebisu, Tokyo, on Saturday, December 30, has been revealed.
Nujabes, a music producer/trackmaker who is said to be the root of “jazzy hip-hop” or “lo-fi hip-hop,” died prematurely in 2010. At this concert, “Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble,” a live project by Hydeout Productions, the independent label he presided over, will be performed for the first time under the concept of “Nujabes as he is today, celebrating 50 years since his birth. It was also announced that Joe Claussell, whom Nujabes has always admired, will visit Japan.
The newly announced performers include four groups: Captain Vinyl, a project by DJ NORI and MURO; trackmaker/DJ/producer GREEN ASSASSIN DOLLAR; house duo Dazzle Drums, who are old friends of Joe Claussell; and “7 DJ KOCO a.k.a. SHIMOKITA, also known as the “7-inch magician,” will perform.
Tickets for the event are now on sale to the general public at zaiko.
