A special feature film clip of the movie “Hellraiser <4K>” (English title: Hellraiser), which will be released nationwide at Cinemart Shinjuku and other theaters on December 8 (Fri.), has been released.
The film is a 4K digitally remastered version of the 1987 British horror film based on Clive Barker’s novel “Hellbound Heart,” which is still very popular, with a remake to be released in 2022. The film depicts the relationship between a couple who move into a mansion and their husband’s brother, who has obtained a mysterious puzzle box that “brings extreme pleasure” and is torn to pieces by mages.
In the newly released footage, which was shot using state-of-the-art technology at the time of the film’s release in the 1980s, we can see the depiction of a once-human being “resurrected” with his bones and flesh restored.
