apple knock’s factory performance “Sandalwood” will be staged at Gallery Minami Seisakusho in Kamata, Tokyo, from November 23 (Thu., holiday) to 26 (Sun.).
apple knock is a team led by Maasa Mishina that creates performances in a “space not bound by the theater. They have performed at temples and public bathhouses in the past, and this time they will perform at the former site of a machine factory.
The performance is said to depict the everyday story of three members of the Miyata family who gather at Miyata Seisakusho, a small auto body shop by the sea in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, until they fall in love with their own solitude. The script is written by Tsuyoshi Oguri of the theater group “Kiko/qui-co”. The production will be directed by Maasa Mishina, and the cast includes Haruka Wakita, Aozora Yamada, and Tatsuya Yamazaki.
